Medical Assistant – Endocrinology Clinic (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Medical Assistant will support the Endocrinology Clinic by providing individualized patient care under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. This role involves direct interaction with patients, documentation, and coordination with the attending physician to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and providers for each visit, ensuring all necessary information and equipment are ready.
• Communicate with patients via phone and in‑person to answer questions, schedule appointments, and provide follow‑up information.
• Document patient information accurately in the company’s data systems, including registration and clinical notes.
• Maintain a clean and organized exam room for successive appointments.
• Adhere to Department of Transportation Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Programs when applicable.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED; preferred completion of a formal medical assistant training program.
• Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Medical Assistant Certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.

Required skills

• Clinical knowledge relevant to endocrinology and general patient care.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications for documentation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
