Mechanical Engineering Intern/Co-Op

About the role

Dematic is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern/Co-Op to support modernization and upgrades of material handling systems while gaining hands‑on experience across the engineering function.

Key responsibilities

• Support modernization and upgrades on existing material handling systems.
• Perform site audits to collect required data.
• Assist with the installation of mechanical upgrades and create detailed layouts and documentation.
• Create purchase requests and enter parts orders.
• Drive activities to ensure new equipment is built to specification.
• Provide technical support to estimating, sales, engineering teams, and field operations.

Required profile

• Pursuing a 4‑year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to learn to maintain and repair material handling systems.
• Knowledge of CAD design software, including AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with computer systems and technologies.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for complex design issues.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
