Material Processor Lead (Inventory)

About the role

Assurant is hiring a Material Processor Lead (Inventory) for its Irving, Texas location. The role works with the Supervisor, helps train and develop the team, monitors production performance and ensures production and quality controls are met while following the work instructions for the area. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 11:30 am to 8:00 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in daily stand-up meetings with the Supervisor and help reallocate resources (employees, supplies, equipment, products) to meet customer and operational goals.
• Collaborate with other departments on workflow and issue resolution, and act as a point of contact for employees and escalation handling during the shift.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend them to the Supervisor and Engineering teams, and help implement operational changes on the warehouse floor.
• Perform on-the-job training, refresher training and workstation assessments, and train, coach and mentor associates.
• Monitor inventory levels and aging inventory, and track daily KPIs, SLAs, productivity and quality metrics, supporting corrective action when targets are missed.
• Analyze operational data, compile daily reports and maintain proficiency and certification in the supported area.
• Promote a safe work environment, escalate safety concerns immediately and lead by example.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience leading, training, coaching or directing employees in a manufacturing, logistics, warehouse or operations setting.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with Supervisors and cross-functional teams, and to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed productivity, quality and performance expectations.

Required skills

• High computer proficiency, including navigating multiple systems, analyzing data and using reporting tools.
• Helpful: forklift certification or ability to obtain it.
• Helpful: strong Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Power BI), Oracle, SQL, warehouse management systems, and experience training associates.
