Manufacturing Ops Engineering – Project Engineer

About the role

Join 3M’s Manufacturing Operations Engineering team as a Project Engineer, collaborating with global colleagues to deliver equipment and plant projects. You will lead project timelines, budgets, and cross‑functional interactions to ensure successful implementation of new manufacturing assets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, budgets, and capital cost estimates for assigned equipment projects.
• Coordinate with plant personnel, consultants, and suppliers across multiple disciplines.
• Specify equipment performance criteria, layout, and design, and oversee construction and commissioning activities.
• Develop and execute competitive bidding strategies and protect intellectual property.
• Communicate project status and technical details to team members, facility staff, and owners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or final year) in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 2+ years of project management experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, team‑oriented environment.
