Manufacturing Engineer II – Process Development

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to develop and maintain methods, operating sequences, and processes for fabricating parts, components, sub‑assemblies, and final assemblies. You will collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to release product improvements and new products while driving cost reduction and quality improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts and assemblies.
• Coordinate with other engineering functions to release product improvements and new products.
• Apply DFx principles to estimate and reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate results, and assess work methods and policies.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, PFMEA, and generate corrective‑action reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
• Strong conceptual knowledge for everyday problem‑solving.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to explain complex information.

• Automation and continuous‑improvement techniques.
• Design for Excellence (DFx) methodology.
• Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
