Managing Attorney, Immigration Legal Services

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Managing Attorney to lead its Immigration Legal Services program in Dallas and Abilene. The role requires the attorney to reside in one of these cities and travel regularly between the two offices. As part of IRC’s Resettlement, Asylum and Integration (RAI) department, the Managing Attorney will oversee a longstanding immigration legal services program that supports refugees and vulnerable migrants across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Immigration Legal Services program in Dallas and Abilene.
• Ensure consistent on‑site presence by residing in either Dallas or Abilene and traveling to the other location as needed.
• Oversee the delivery of immigration legal services, maintaining high standards of case management and client support.
• Collaborate with IRC’s RAI department to align legal services with broader impact areas such as health, safety, economic wellbeing, education, and empowerment.

Required profile

• Licensed attorney with substantive experience in immigration law.
• Willingness to live in Dallas or Abilene and commit to regular inter‑office travel.
• Commitment to IRC’s mission of protecting and empowering displaced populations.
