Manager Trainee - Operational Strength Program

About the role

Avis Budget Group is recruiting a Manager Trainee for its Operational Strength Program (OSP), starting January 2027. This full-time, 12-month career-launching program prepares participants to become Operations Managers through hands-on training in operations, customer service, logistics and team leadership, alongside a peer cohort and mentorship from senior leaders. The program is not remote and requires regular on-site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through key operational functions while receiving personalized mentorship
• Apply new skills daily through hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Build the skills to drive team performance and operational excellence
• Be willing and able to relocate to any location nationwide after the initial eight-week training, as this is a mandatory condition of the program

Required profile

• 2- or 4-year college degree OR 4 years of military service
• Ability and willingness to relocate anywhere in the United States
• Experience as a team member or team leader (e.g., sports, clubs, military)
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays
• Extra points for at least one year of customer service experience
