Manager Trainee - Operational Strength Program

About the role

Avis Budget Group's Operational Strength Program (OSP) is a 12-month, full-time career-launching program starting January 2027, designed to turn high-potential leaders into Operations Managers. It combines structured learning, functional rotations and hands-on experience with a peer cohort, and leads to a guaranteed transition into a management role. The program is not remote and requires regular on-site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through key operational functions while receiving personalized mentorship from experienced leaders
• Apply new skills daily through hands-on experience in operations, customer service, logistics and team leadership
• Build the skills to drive team performance and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment
• Participate in a peer cohort and receive coaching and support from senior leaders

Required profile

• 2- or 4-year college degree OR 4 years of military service
• Willingness and ability to relocate anywhere in the United States after the initial 8-week training
• Data-focused problem solver with strong analytical skills
• Team member or team leader experience (e.g., sports, clubs, military)
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays, and to thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
• Extra points for at least one year of customer service experience
