Manager, Strategy - Interconnected Strategy

About the role

The Home Depot's Interconnected Strategy team develops and executes its overall online and interconnected business strategy, including opportunities, resource allocation and external partnerships. The Manager leads discrete strategic projects or workstreams, acts as a thought partner across the online organization and guides Analysts and Senior Analysts. The role sits in the Store Support Center and typically reports to a Sr. Manager or Director, with no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Stay up to date on external developments, including competitors' innovations and strategies, and turn research into insights and solutions communicated to executives (10%)
• Structure business problems, prioritize analyses and present readouts and work materials to the team and stakeholders (20%)
• Drive interconnected strategy and operational execution workstreams (70%)
• Create materials and presentations that explain frameworks, problem framing, strategies and insights to senior leaders

Required profile

• At least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Preferred: previous experience in world-class retail / ecommerce or professional services such as strategy consulting, private equity or investment banking
• Preferred: MBA or master's degree; minimum 4 years of relevant experience
• Typical overnight travel of 5% to 20% of the time; mostly sitting work in a comfortable indoor setting
