Manager, Project Management (Amazon)

About the role

The Manager, Project Management leads a team of Project Managers within the Mods and Upgrades, LSS Business Unit, delivering complex multi‑site automation, modernization and upgrade projects for Amazon. The role ensures projects meet scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality and customer expectations while driving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a project management team, fostering inclusion, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee a portfolio of concurrent modernization and upgrade projects, coordinating across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation and vendors.
• Manage financial performance, forecasting, invoicing and profitability for the project portfolio.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive issue resolution and governance.
• Serve as primary customer interface, building trusted relationships and supporting follow‑on business opportunities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience leading projects or project functions in automation, logistics or manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale project portfolios with significant customer‑facing revenue responsibility.
• Strong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced project and program management, including scope, schedule, cost, risk and quality control.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent project management tools and MS Office.
• Understanding of automation systems, controls architectures and industrial software integration.
• Experience with schedule and change management, safety excellence and contract administration.
