Make Ready Specialist – Meadow Main

About the role

The Make Ready Specialist ensures vacant apartments are prepared to Greystar’s quality standards for re‑leasing. This role involves technical and mechanical work to turn units into market‑ready condition quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements before resident move‑in, following the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and perform repairs or replacements.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units under supervisor direction.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
• Complete required documentation and checklists promptly.
• Follow safety policies, attend OSHA training, and report incidents.
• Provide courteous customer service to residents, answering questions and addressing maintenance complaints.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Capability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical strength to lift up to 25 lb independently and 50 lb with assistance.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and respond to on‑call duties.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to assist other properties or attend training.

Required skills

• Caulking and sealing around fixtures.
• Sheetrock inspection and repair.
• Touch‑up painting and surface finishing.
• Pressure‑washing of exterior areas.
• Basic plumbing and minor mechanical repairs.
