Maintenance Technician – The Asher Property

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of The Asher property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position works Tuesday through Saturday, handling resident service requests, preventative maintenance, and move‑in preparations.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and amenity upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever feasible.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a residential or commercial setting.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and respond to on‑call duties.
• EPA Type I, II, or Universal refrigerant recycling certification and any state‑required licenses.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.

Required skills

• Proficiency in painting, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience with property‑management software such as Yardi and HappyCo.
• EPA refrigerant recycling certification (Type I/II or Universal).
