Maintenance Technician – Property & Amenities

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of its property in Paxon meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and painting as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including on‑call evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart when required.
• Compliance with Greystar safety policies, OSHA training, and incident reporting.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 certification for refrigerant recycling.
• EPA Type 2 certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Universal refrigerant certification.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
