Maintenance Technician – Garden Property (Las Palmas)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a stabilized garden‑style community of 250 units in Las Palmas, FL. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident work orders and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and completing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, repairs and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and reorder items as needed.
• Perform routine grounds and amenity upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Inspect contractor work to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA training and report incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule including rotating on‑call duties evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
• EPA Type 1, Type 2 or Universal refrigerant recycling certification and any state/local certifications required for service technicians.
