Maintenance Technician – Avenue 34

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the Avenue 34 property – buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This is a hands‑on, on‑site position that supports both resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of maintenance experience in property management or a similar environment.
• Availability to work weekends and be on‑call as required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, handle tools and equipment, and work independently.
