Maintenance Technician – Avana Happy Valley

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the physical aspects of its Avana at Happy Valley community meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work across buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities through trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Experience performing maintenance work in residential or property‑management settings.
• Ability to follow safety and risk‑management policies and participate in routine safety meetings.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and inventory tracking.
