Maintenance Technician - Alta South Bay

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar's standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This full‑time position works Tuesday‑Saturday with on‑call and weekend availability.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of maintenance experience in a residential or commercial setting.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
• Flexibility to respond to calls during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• EPA Type I and II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart on larger properties).
