Maintenance Supervisor – The Canter

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that the interior and exterior of the community, including grounds, amenities, and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This full‑time, onsite role involves both routine upkeep and overseeing larger repair projects.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests, diagnose issues, and perform repairs according to safety codes and company policies.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance of grounds, building exteriors, signage, parking areas, and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by team members, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with quality and scope specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ordering as needed while staying within budget.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with experience in property or building maintenance and related trades.
• Ability to apply logical problem‑solving, read/write effectively, and communicate courteously with residents and team members.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and database tools; property‑management system experience preferred.

Required skills

• EPA Type I and II (or Universal) certification for HVAC work.
• Competence with hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment, and measuring devices.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, MSDS handling, and safety meeting facilitation.
• Experience using property‑management software and basic computer applications.
