Mainframe Developer – Charlotte, NC

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Mainframe Developer to join its Financial Services unit in Charlotte, NC. You will work on modernizing core banking, wealth management and insurance applications, leveraging AI‑driven solutions and collaborating with industry experts.

Key responsibilities

• Document and refine business requirements as part of the elicitation process.
• Participate in design discussions, capture decisions and guide the technical team.
• Develop, test and integrate new features or updates into existing mainframe applications.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain code repositories and ensure system stability.
• Implement test strategies, analyse results and coordinate bug‑fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation and support frameworks.
• Resolve production issues and propose preventive measures to improve reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of code changes, testing techniques and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to implementation.
• Experience translating complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
