Machine Operator – Specialist III (Laser)

About the role

Support the startup and implementation of the laser operation for a new production line at Bosch’s Lincolnton, NC facility. The role involves learning the process, developing work instructions, and providing training while traveling overseas for training.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and other departments to ensure smooth line startup.
• Train, monitor and give feedback to new production associates on the assigned shift.
• Load, unload, operate, adjust, change‑over and maintain multiple laser machines, conduct 5S, and troubleshoot issues.
• Meet daily production targets and promptly escalate any deviations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; technical or vocational schooling is a plus.
• 3‑5 years of experience with laser/robotics processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, overtime and stand for 8 hours.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb and maintain hand dexterity.
• Math skills and ability to read product prints and measurement devices.
