LPN – Med Surg Full‑Time Day Shift

About the role

This full‑time day position provides direct patient care, including IV therapy, under the direction of a registered nurse. The LPN works within the Licensed Practical Nurse Act to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to gather data, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide comprehensive care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff to ensure a quality experience.
• Adapt quickly to changing unit demands and maintain up‑to‑date clinical knowledge.
• Assist ancillary nursing staff, delegate tasks, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and hospital policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: IV therapy credentials.
• Strong time‑management, organizational, and judgment skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
