Line Cook

About the role

The Line Cook will prepare food items in accordance with production requirements, guest service standards, and sustainability guidelines at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards, production, and portion standards.
• Begin and manage ahead‑of‑time food items, ensuring proper dating, rotation, and temperature control.
• Check par levels, determine necessary preparation, and set up the line for each shift.
• Return unused food to designated storage, covering and dating perishables.
• Assist in controlling food cost, waste, and loss according to company standards.
• Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen tools and equipment safely.
• Follow MSDS and OSHA safety standards and wear protective equipment.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related kitchen experience.

Required skills

• Food preparation and portion control.
• Operation and cleaning of kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety standards (MSDS, OSHA).
