Licensed Vocational Nurse – Detox Residential Facility

About the role

The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides routine technical nursing care and serves as a liaison between clients and medical professionals in Clear Behavioral Health’s detox residential facility. The role ensures medication compliance, accurate documentation, and supports clients throughout their recovery journey.

Key responsibilities

• Interview patients or relatives to obtain health history and immunization status; perform TB testing and injections.
• Administer, record, and monitor immunizations, drugs, and vital signs according to agency policies.
• Maintain clinic equipment, supplies, and ensure proper disposal of used materials.
• Supervise client self‑administration of medications, conduct medication counts, and audit the Medication Administration Record (MAR) in the EMR system.
• Provide 1:1 supervision for at‑risk clients, support ATA prevention, and communicate medication changes with physicians and pharmacies.
• Perform light housekeeping in detox houses and maintain staff shift logs.

Required profile

• Active vocational nursing license in the state.
• Minimum two years of experience working with substance‑abuse, mental health, or dual‑diagnosis populations (preferred).
• Current CPR/First Aid certification and clean background check.

Required skills

• TB testing and injection administration.
• Medication administration and MAR auditing in an EMR system.
• Vital signs measurement and immunization documentation.
• CPR and First Aid proficiency.
