About the role
The Licensed School Based Outpatient Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to students directly in school settings, focusing on trauma‑related issues. The role supports students’ psychosocial adjustment while collaborating with the broader health network.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver counseling and education services in schools and homes, helping patients and families understand and follow care recommendations.
- Develop and document individualized care plans with measurable goals, timelines, and progress notes completed on the same day of clinical contact.
- Initiate and coordinate referrals for mental health services within the network and the community.
- Maintain a weekly caseload, schedule same‑day clinical encounters, and manage billing and insurance authorizations.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or education.
- Minimum three years of experience counseling children and adolescents.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania, or eligible for licensure upon hire.
Required skills
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed care.
- Ability to complete accurate clinical documentation and follow‑up instructions.
