About the role
Provide mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for adult and/or child members with a broad range of mental health needs. Coordinate care and assist patients in accessing community resources to maintain stability in the least restrictive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee utilization management, including service authorizations and denial/appeal processes.
- Ensure discharge planning documentation is clear, concise, and timely.
- Conduct clinical assessments and provide case management and care coordination.
- Act as liaison between patients, referral sources, and funders.
- Manage voluntary and involuntary commitment processes per Pennsylvania regulations.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement activities.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
- Licensed as LCSW, LPC, or LSW in Pennsylvania.
- Ability to remain patient and calm in stressful situations.
- Knowledge of community resources and referral processes.
- Understanding of psychosocial and medical needs to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
