Licensed Practical Nurse – Physician Practice

About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a physician practice setting. You will work as part of a care team to improve patient experience, support quality initiatives, and ensure efficient workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Assist providers by collecting patient histories, performing observations, physical exams, and telephone triage.
• Track and log all ordered laboratory and diagnostic tests, presenting results to the provider.
• Provide patient education, maintain up‑to‑date materials, and evaluate education effectiveness.
• Assist with prescription refills, appointment scheduling, and referral authorizations.
• Support providers during procedures, clean instruments and rooms, and coordinate internal and external appointments.
• Identify and intervene to prevent potential patient risks based on physiological, behavioral, and environmental observations.

Required profile

• Technical School Diploma – LPN program.
• Current Pennsylvania LPN license and Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
• Ability to manage violent or dangerous situations and maintain patient safety.
• Basic computer proficiency, critical thinking, and strong concentration skills.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential.
• Computer skills for documentation and test tracking.
