Licensed Practical Nurse – Med Surg Flex Unit (Kings Hwy)

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct patient care, including IV therapy, on the Med Surg Flex Unit at Kings Hwy. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, the LPN collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to deliver personalized, high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care.
• Deliver comprehensive care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff to ensure a positive experience.
• Adapt quickly to changing unit demands and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Support the professional development of ancillary nursing staff and delegate tasks as appropriate.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred IV therapy credentials.
• Strong time‑management, judgment, and interpersonal skills for a fast‑paced environment.
