Licensed Practical Nurse – Internal Medicine Clinic

About the role

Exceptional care starts with exceptional people. This position provides direct patient care, including IV therapy, for an internal medicine clinic under the direction of a registered nurse, following the Licensed Practical Nurse Act.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process for data gathering, planning, and evaluation.
• Provides care addressing physical, psycho/social, educational, and safety needs of patients.
• Communicates professionally with patients, families, and co‑workers to ensure quality experience.
• Adapts positively to rapid changes in unit or department needs.
• Manages personal professional development and maintains required clinical knowledge and credentials.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with good judgement.
• Strong interpersonal and delegation abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Capability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• IV therapy credentials (preferred).
