About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct patient care on the night shift at Ochsner Post Acute Care Center, a skilled nursing facility in New Orleans. This full‑time position supports a compassionate, inclusive team dedicated to exceptional care.

Key responsibilities

Use the nursing process to gather data, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Deliver care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients.
Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff to ensure a quality experience.
Adapt quickly to changing unit needs and maintain accurate documentation.

Required profile

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current LPN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience handling confidential information in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

IV therapy credentials (preferred).
Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
Good judgment and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
