Leasing Professional – The Grove Somerset

About the role

The Leasing Professional will be the front‑line representative for The Grove Somerset community, driving occupancy, revenue and resident satisfaction. You will manage the full leasing cycle from prospecting to move‑in, while supporting resident retention through excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sales and leasing activities including greeting prospects, qualifying leads, touring the community, showing apartments, processing applications, credit and background checks, and preparing lease packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, ensure they are ready for residents and coordinate any outstanding work with the maintenance team.
• Monitor market and competitor trends, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply community policies on concessions and specials to maximize occupancy.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising using platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property‑management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect and resident data, and capture demographic information.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to engage and qualify prospective residents.
• Attention to detail for apartment inspections and move‑in readiness.
• Ability to stay informed on local market conditions and adjust leasing strategies accordingly.
• Proactive approach to marketing and community outreach.
• Comfort with using property‑management and online marketing tools.
