About the role

The Leasing Professional will coordinate marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies for the Queens Wedgewood community in Houston. The role focuses on achieving occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals through full-cycle leasing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, and manage lease sign‑ups.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, ensure readiness, and coordinate maintenance fixes.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including resident referral and employer outreach programs.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, traffic, and resident data.
• Maintain show units and marketing corridors to company standards.
• Follow up with prospects and residents via email, calls, and thank‑you notes to secure leases and renewals.
• Prepare renewal packages, contact renewing residents, and ensure timely execution of renewal documents.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner concerns, escalating as needed.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and any state‑required leasing licenses.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb (50 lb with assistance), and work in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Experience using internet marketing tools like Craigslist, Facebook, and email platforms.
