Assistant Community Manager – Queens Wedgewood, Houston

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the Queens Wedgewood community in Houston. This position handles day‑to‑day accounting tasks, rent collection, invoice processing, and ensures accurate financial reporting using property management software.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments.
• Prepare daily bank deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and maintain accurate cash flow records.
• Generate monthly close‑out and financial reports for the community.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite software, entering data accurately and performing system backups.
• Review resident accounts for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice requirements and court representation when needed.
• Support resident move‑out processes, including final billing and unit turnover coordination.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple financial tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.

Required skills
