Leasing Professional (Lease-Up) - Cypress Heights

About the role

This position coordinates the community's marketing, leasing and renewal strategies to reach occupancy, revenue and resident retention goals. It covers all activities related to leasing new residents, keeping residents satisfied during the lease term and securing lease renewals. The role is onsite and requires a flexible schedule, including call-outs during evenings, weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Sell and lease apartments: greet and qualify prospects, give tours, process applications, run credit and background checks, prepare leases and move-in packages, and ensure a smooth move-in.
• Inspect apartments before move-in and schedule outstanding items with the maintenance team.
• Track market and competitor conditions, develop marketing plans and follow concession and special programs to sustain occupancy.
• Run marketing activities such as resident referrals, employer outreach and online advertising, and use property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, traffic and resident data.
• Keep show units and the leasing office in top condition and follow up with prospects and new residents.
• Support lease renewals by preparing renewal letters and packages, contacting renewing residents and ensuring documents are signed on time.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner concerns and route requests to the right people.

Required profile

• All licenses and certifications required by state and local jurisdiction.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Able to stand, walk or sit for long periods, work indoors and outdoors in all weather, and lift up to 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with help.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other properties, training or meetings.

• Hourly pay of $15.50 - $19.00, with possible weekly, monthly or quarterly bonuses depending on onsite or corporate role.
