Regional Maintenance Manager - Northern New Jersey

About the role

Greystar, a global real estate platform focused on institutional-quality rental housing, is hiring a Regional Maintenance Manager for Northern New Jersey. The role mentors and trains on-site service team members and ensures compliance with company maintenance policies. It also involves presenting recommendations to owners and senior leadership, helping develop scopes of work, managing vendor relations and analysising properties for capital needs, budgeting and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct annual maintenance inspections to company standards and ensure they are completed and reported to leadership.
• Track the annual elevated surface inspection carried out by site teams and ensure it is completed and reported.
• Lead on-site maintenance staff in diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, swimming pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure and appliance issues, and schedule preventive and floating maintenance.
• Schedule and run training workshops and classes, track registrations through the Learning Management System and work with the District Maintenance Manager where applicable.
• Assist the Regional Property Manager with the annual budget process and evaluate suppliers annually on quality, customer service and pricing.
• Help interview Service Supervisors, assess candidates' technical qualifications and cultural fit, and provide a written post-interview report to the hiring manager.
• Support community and the Regional Property Manager with associate training, coaching and discipline, and perform other tasks as directed.

What we offer

• Salary range of $120,000 - $140,000, with possible bonus programs depending on whether the role is corporate or onsite.
