Leasing Professional – Downtown Area

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Leasing Professional to lead marketing, leasing, and renewal activities for a downtown community in Houston. The role focuses on achieving occupancy, revenue, and resident‑retention targets while delivering a high‑quality leasing experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit and criminal background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, ensure readiness, and coordinate any maintenance needs.
• Monitor market and competitor trends, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and manage concessions and specials.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing via platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect data, and capture demographic information.
• Maintain show‑unit standards through daily inspections and coordination with the maintenance team.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to greet, qualify, and guide prospects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for tours and lease signings.
• Detail‑oriented approach to application processing, background checks, and move‑in inspections.
• Ability to analyze market conditions and adjust leasing strategies accordingly.
• Proficiency in using property management software and internet marketing tools.
