Leasing Professional – Avana Overlook

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue, and resident retention for a stabilized garden‑style community of 452 units. You will manage the full leasing cycle, from prospect outreach to move‑in, while ensuring resident satisfaction throughout the lease term.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease packages.
• Inspect units before move‑in, coordinate any maintenance needs, and ensure apartments are ready for new residents.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including resident referral programs and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity, and maintain resident data.
• Maintain show‑unit standards by daily inspections, merchandising, and coordinating with the maintenance team.
• Support lease renewals by preparing renewal letters, contacting residents early, and ensuring timely execution of renewal documents.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart on the property).
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), and work in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and respond to on‑call duties.
• All state and local licensing or certification requirements must be met.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OneSite property management software.
• Proficiency with Yardi property management software.
• Experience using internet marketing tools such as Craigslist, Facebook, and email campaigns.
