Maintenance Supervisor – Avana Overlook

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that the community’s buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s high standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This role combines hands‑on technical work with supervisory responsibilities to keep the property operating smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and oversee technical and mechanical work on interior and exterior building components, grounds and amenities.
• Respond to resident service requests, diagnose issues, and complete repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance and cleanliness of grounds, building exteriors, interiors, signage, parking areas and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by service team members and external contractors, providing corrective action plans as needed.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, collaborating with the Community Manager to stay within budget.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance tasks to reduce equipment downtime.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property or facilities maintenance, with the ability to supervise a team.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, safety regulations and local code requirements.
• Ability to develop and enforce cleanliness and appearance standards across a large community.
• Experience coordinating vendors, managing inventories and adhering to budgetary guidelines.
