Learning & Development Manager

About the role

American Express Global Commercial Services is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to design, deliver, and continuously improve learning solutions that enable sales and account development teams to excel. You will partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure learning initiatives align with business objectives and drive measurable performance improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and facilitate learning solutions for sales, onboarding, leadership, and continuing education.
• Conduct needs assessments, job task analyses, and performance analyses to identify learning opportunities.
• Apply instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Agile) to create blended, learner‑centered content.
• Produce high‑quality eLearning using authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Storyline, Rise, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Deliver live and virtual instructor‑led training sessions (ILT/VILT).
• Maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), manage course setup, content deployment, and reporting.
• Collaborate with SMEs, business partners, and analytics teams to measure learning effectiveness and business impact.
• Lead end‑to‑end learning projects, managing timelines and stakeholder communications.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience managing learning programs at scale in a corporate environment.
• Ability to translate business needs into effective learning solutions.
