Lead Technical Program Manager, Robotaxi

About the role

Waabi, a Physical AI company behind autonomous trucks and robotaxis, is bringing its autonomous driving technology from trucking to the robotaxi space. It is looking for a program management leader to own the roadmap for integrating the Waabi Driver into its commercial fleet, connecting engineering, operations and external partners, and helping shape the go-to-market approach and partner strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the integrated robotaxi program plan, covering autonomy, vehicle hardware, safety and validation, fleet operations and commercial launch readiness.
• Own program-level risk management, surfacing issues early with data-backed options and ensuring each dependency has an owner and ETA.
• Drive launch and market-readiness planning, including vehicle readiness, ODD coverage, safety validation sign-off, site and facility readiness, and regulatory or permitting requirements.
• Partner with Autonomy, Safety, Commercial and Operations to turn strategy into executable roadmaps and hold teams accountable.
• Build and run executive reporting on program status, risk and path to green.
• Define and track KPIs such as ODD coverage, disengagement rates, system readiness and rider experience metrics.
• Set up scalable program-tracking processes and tooling, and represent the program in cross-company planning aligned with the trucking roadmap.

Required profile

• 10+ years of technical program management experience leading complex, cross-functional programs.
• Demonstrated ability to build program structure from scratch in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.
• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics or another safety-critical, cross-functional setting.
• Proven cross-functional leadership without formal authority.
• BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Required skills

• Technical fluency across hardware, software and autonomy/ML domains.
• Program tracking tools such as Jira, Asana or other project management tools.
• Bonus: experience with driverless commercial rollouts, safety assurance and ODD, fleet management, and working with policy, legal and public affairs stakeholders.
