Lead Packaging Operator 3rd – Starting at $19.88/hr

About the role

The Lead Packaging Operator ensures OMT packaging equipment and processes run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with work instructions at Bosch's Lincolnton Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center.

Key responsibilities

• Set up machines with correct tooling, materials, and recipes before or during production.
• Perform First Piece and Last Piece inspections to maintain product quality.
• Adjust and optimize machine parameters to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Communicate machine status, issues, and corrective actions clearly to team members.
• Support all packaging areas by floating between stations as needed while ensuring a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of packaging equipment such as Algus, OMT Welder, OMT Marking, Manual Pack, OMT Oven, and Rust Prevention systems.
• Ability to adjust machine parameters and optimize performance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and floor leadership.
• Knowledge of FIFO, quality checks, and work standards.
