Lead Generation Representative - Outbound Calling (Remote)

About the role

Langford Staffing is hiring Lead Generation Representatives for a client running high-volume consumer outreach campaigns. You will contact company-provided leads by phone, qualify them and connect qualified consumers with a sales representative; you are not responsible for closing the sale. The position is full-time, remote, with U.S. Eastern Time hours and an annual target earning of C$40,000 to C$50,000.

Key responsibilities

• Contact consumers through a high-volume automatic dialer and gain their attention within the first few seconds.
• Explain the purpose of the call clearly and professionally, then ask the required qualification questions.
• Respond to rejection, distrust, time objections and hesitation, keeping consumers engaged without being aggressive.
• Create interest in speaking with the sales representative and secure qualified warm or live transfers.
• Introduce the consumer to the receiving representative and record accurate call outcomes and dispositions.
• Follow campaign scripts, qualification rules and opt-out procedures, and work toward hourly and daily transfer targets.
• Campaigns may cover health benefits, insurance, telecommunications or other consumer services.

Required profile

• Three or more years of experience in outbound calling, lead generation, appointment setting, telesales, call-centre sales or live transfers.
• Experience with an automatic or predictive dialer and with working toward call, lead, appointment, transfer or conversion targets.
• Clear and professional spoken English, strong listening skills and the ability to stay composed during rejection.
• Full-time availability during U.S. Eastern Time hours.
• Remote setup: computer with at least 16 GB RAM, dual monitors (including an external one of at least 22 inches), wired USB noise-cancelling headset, webcam, quiet workspace, wired internet of at least 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload, backup internet and power, and the ability to work in a dialer, CRM and campaign system at once.

Required skills

• Strong objection-handling and persuasive communication.
• Accurate CRM, call-note and disposition habits.
• Ability to apply coaching and improve performance.
• Experience with Convoso, Five9, NICE CXone, Genesys Cloud CX, CallTools or Readymode is an asset.
