Outbound Sales Consultant (Remote, U.S. Eastern Time)

About the role

Langford Staffing is recruiting Outbound Sales Consultants for a client running high-volume consumer outreach campaigns. You will contact company-provided leads by phone, qualify them and connect qualified consumers with a sales representative; you do not complete the final sale. The role is remote, full-time and paid in U.S. Eastern Time hours, with annual target earnings of C$40,000 to C$50,000.

Key responsibilities

• Make continuous outbound calls using an automatic dialer, introducing the company and the purpose of the call.
• Ask brief qualification questions and listen carefully to find out what is preventing the consumer from continuing.
• Respond to rejection, suspicion, time concerns and other objections, and explain the value of speaking with a sales representative.
• Ask qualified consumers to complete a live transfer, give a clear introduction when the receiving representative joins, and record accurate notes, outcomes and dispositions.
• Follow campaign scripts, qualification rules and opt-out procedures, and meet hourly and daily calling and transfer expectations.
• Campaigns may cover health benefits, insurance, telecommunications or other consumer products and services.

Required profile

• Three or more years of experience in outbound sales, telesales, inside sales, appointment setting, lead generation, call-centre sales or live transfers.
• Experience meeting call, transfer, appointment, conversion or sales targets.
• Clear and professional spoken English, and confidence speaking with consumers all day.
• Ability to stay calm when consumers are skeptical, impatient or upset, and openness to coaching, call monitoring and performance feedback.
• Full-time availability during U.S. Eastern Time hours.
• Home setup: computer with at least 16 GB RAM, dual monitors (including an external one of at least 22 inches), wired USB noise-cancelling headset, webcam, quiet workspace, wired internet of at least 100 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload, backup internet and power arrangements, and the ability to work in a dialer, CRM and campaign system at once.

Required skills

• Experience with an automatic or predictive dialer.
• Strong objection-handling and persuasive communication.
• Preferred: experience with Convoso, Five9, NICE CXone, Genesys Cloud CX, CallTools or Readymode.
