Lead Document Control Specialist – Airports

About the role

Parsons is seeking a talented Lead Document Control Specialist to support the team at McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Alcoa, TN. You will play a pivotal role in managing project documentation and ensuring smooth communication between the office and field staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager with daily project administration.
• Review, log, and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contractor correspondence.
• Utilize AI tools to streamline day‑to‑day activities and improve efficiency.
• Provide technical support to field staff and act as a liaison between the office and site.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues promptly.
• Classify and organize documents by type, entity, date, and status.
• Assist in writing technical reports and preparing invoices for client submission.
• Perform additional duties as needed to support the program.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in construction management, preferably on aviation or transportation infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction documentation, contract administration, and project controls.
• Proficiency with project management and office software (Primavera, MS Project, Procore, MS Office 365).
• Skilled in technical writing for reports, recommendations, and analysis, including charting and presentation preparation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
