Law Enforcement Intelligence Officer

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City’s Denver branch is seeking a self‑motivated Law Enforcement Intelligence Officer to safeguard personnel, property, and operations. The role blends traditional police duties with advanced physical‑security technology management, supporting a safe environment for the Bank’s activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tracking systems for individuals, groups, and security‑related cases across the Tenth District.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to assess risks, create threat assessments, and produce intelligence bulletins for management.
• Build and maintain relationships with external law‑enforcement agencies, sharing intelligence promptly.
• Respond to disturbances, emergencies, and potentially life‑threatening situations, applying appropriate force and preparing detailed incident reports.
• Control access to the Bank and high‑security areas, inspecting individuals, property, and vehicles.
• Conduct interior and exterior security patrols and operate the Bank’s law‑enforcement and life‑safety systems, including CCTV, access control, alarm, x‑ray, metal detectors, biometric readers, radio, fire, and public‑address systems.
• Perform rotational duties such as canine handler, instructor, or field training officer as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years relevant law‑enforcement or security experience.
• High school diploma or GED; must be at least 21 years old.
• U.S. citizenship and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
