Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures all guest laundry services are performed according to hotel standards, handling collection, cleaning, and delivery with professionalism and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and deliver in‑house and external guest laundry, ensuring items are correctly logged and any discrepancies noted.
• Operate washers, dryers, dry‑cleaning machines, ironers, folder and calender equipment using appropriate chemicals and temperatures.
• Inspect items for stains or damage, take corrective action, and report valuable items found in pockets.
• Fold, hang, or press cleaned items as requested, and maintain organized storage racks.
• Report equipment issues, assist with inventory, and follow all safety and hygiene procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hotel laundry or similar hospitality environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑energy setting and handle physical demands such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lb.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain professional appearance and uniform.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial laundry equipment (washers, dryers, dry‑cleaners, ironers, folding machines).
• Use of commercial cleaning chemicals safely.
• Adherence to hotel safety policies and procedures.
