About the role

The Lab Support Technician II provides essential support to laboratory operations within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This position works varied shifts and is classified as regular clinical staff, contributing to the delivery of high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily laboratory activities, including specimen handling and equipment preparation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Support compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with clinical and research staff to facilitate efficient workflow.

Required profile

• Current UAMS employee, student employee, or graduate assistant eligible to apply through Workday.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work varying shifts as required.
