About the role

The Kitchen Steward supports the culinary team by ensuring all kitchen areas, equipment, and service ware are kept spotless and sanitary. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of hygiene in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of china, glass, silver, and ensure sanitation standards.
Clean and sanitize ovens, steam kettles, mixers, drains, sinks, floors, walls, pots, pans, and utensils using appropriate solutions.
Operate and maintain the silver burnishing machine, polishing and sorting silverware, and flag damaged pieces for repair.
Safely handle cleaning chemicals, wearing protective gear, and store materials correctly.
Assist with food storage, rotation, and keep work areas organized for efficiency.

Required profile

No prior experience required.
Must hold a valid Food Handlers Certification.
