Junior Trader

About the role

The Junior Trader will join Invesco's FICC Trading team, executing OTC and exchange‑listed instruments across rates, FX and equity derivatives. You will work alongside experienced traders, building a solid foundation in market structure, execution and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Execute trades in Global Rates, FX and Equity Derivatives while supporting best‑execution objectives.
• Collaborate with Operations, Risk, Compliance and Legal to ensure efficient settlement and regulatory adherence.
• Develop relationships with counterparties to access liquidity and market intelligence.
• Assist portfolio managers with position monitoring, trade idea generation and investment decisions.
• Contribute to automation, performance reporting and continuous improvement of trading workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong quantitative and analytical aptitude with keen interest in financial markets and macroeconomics.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities during high‑volume trading periods.
• Proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with Python, VBA or SQL is a plus.
