Java Developer III – Backend Fraud & Financial Systems

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer III to join our backend development team in Cincinnati, focusing on fraud detection and financial systems. The role involves building and supporting internal applications, leading backend initiatives, and ensuring high‑quality code throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for internal fraud application systems.
• Lead development efforts within an agile team, including code design, implementation, testing, and deployment on Windows/Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot development and production issues across multiple platforms.
• Create documentation and support tools for end‑users.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Java development experience, proficient with Java 21.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot / Spring Framework and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Experience deploying applications on OpenSystems Windows and/or Linux.
• Background in banking/financial services is a plus.
