Senior Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level Security Engineer to lead our Microsoft 365 data‑protection initiatives. The role is fully remote and supports users across multiple U.S. locations, focusing on SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams environments.

Key responsibilities

• Build, configure and maintain security controls in Microsoft 365, including DLP policies, retention labels and data‑classification labels.
• Evaluate and tune existing configurations to improve protection of enterprise data and reduce risks from oversharing, stale data or inappropriate access.
• Engage directly with end users and business teams to gather context and guide the implementation of appropriate security controls.
• Take ownership of solutions from recommendation through implementation and follow‑through.

Required profile

• Background in Microsoft 365 administration with a strong desire to focus on security.
• Experience handling large file volumes, resolving oversharing risks and validating data use cases with business stakeholders.

Required skills

• Experience managing data protection and security controls in MS O365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
• Hands‑on experience configuring Data Classification Labels, Retention Policies and DLP rules.
• Strong technical communication and collaboration skills to explain security solutions clearly.
